Welcome to STEM
STEM
STEM is an opportunity for high school and middle school students to learn and engage in projects. Students have the opportunity to work with the instructor and program coordinator if the IVCC Electronics and Electricity Department Charles Raimondi to learn and have fun while doing it.
Summer STEM
STEM Projects
Take a look into what STEM students are working on!
LED Dimmer
Soldering fun with making an LED dimmer. Project involved reading a schematic, soldering, and troubleshooting.
HMI
A favorite among this STEM student. This project is ongoing and involves programming a PLC, creating and troubleshooting HMI with a panel view, as well as using analog cards in a PLC.
Bread Board and Schematic Reading
Here Leena breadboards a three-input NOR gate. She is creating the circuit by reading the schematic.
IVCC Dimmer
This board has school spirit! 22 LEDs spell out IVCC. This fun project works on soldering skills and will be a part of IVCCs summer STEM program.
Electric Kazoo
The graphic from the pencil on the paper has metal that conducts electricity. There were increasing and decreasing levels of resistance that gave the different tones.
